Park visit

We had some lovely weather earlier this week, so decided we would walk round the to nearest park.  It’s about 1.5 miles away walking by the road (annoyingly shorter across the fields but that’s not practical with the pushchair) so takes about 15 minutes.  Great exercise, and means we get to be outside.

This time N didn’t want to walk. I think he’s realised how much more he’ll see, and how much faster it is when he’s in the pushchair.

The park’s great.  It’s got loads of wooden climbing frames and obstacles, with a toddler area.  Plus it’s in a big field, so great if the kids are older and want to play football.

Of course we went early and most of the slides were still wet.  I had meant to remember a muslin so I could wipe them down, but had forgotten that, so we had to pick and choose the slides so those dried by the sun were favourites.

We’ve not been to the park since last summer, so N had a great time clambering on things, wandering up and down the climbing frames and tapping on the wooden boards.

Thanks for popping by (no worries about taking a while. Linkys do take a long time to get round them all).
It’s a great park. Just hoping we get some good weather at the weekends in the summer so we can have a picnic – maybe do a half year / summer party

He’s really going for it isn’t he? I imagine you’ve seen a huge difference in his ability since last Summer. I wish I still had a pushchair to keep a teatowel in the bottom of!

Just since Christmas, the height he can climb and speed is amazing. They just get so much confidence. Pushchairs are so helpful. I’m quite pleased that N still asks to take his places even though he mostly walks. In future I’ll have to take a rucksack out with us!

Oh I’d forgotten about the days when I used to carry an old tea towel in the bottom of the buggy to wipe the slide! We’ve moved on – don’t know whether to be happy or sad!

Think I obviously need to get better at remembering one, as once you’re past the muslin stage, you go out with spare nappy and drink and that’s about it!

Look at his wee delighted face, they really love the park, don’t they. Looks like you had smashing weather too. Good luck with the job x

Parks – simple and free, but kids love them.
      Thanks for the good luck.

It’s great having a local park close by. I wish my wee man saw the benefits of the pushchair…I am always fighting these days to get him in it!

Definitely lucky having one in one of the three villages we’re near. Otherwise we’d be taking a 7 mile car journey into town.
N will usually walk half of it, but obviously decided that day he couldn’t be bothered. Bonus is more exercise for me as I can walk normal speed!

He obviously had such a great time at the park judging by his smile! Good luck with the new job. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.

Thanks. We’ll have to make sure we get out and about at weekends now. And hopefully I’ll get my bike sorted out with a seat so we can go out and about on that!
