'working ' out in the garden

Project 365 – photo a day week 45

Crikey, it’s just sunk in that there’s only 7 weeks left of Project 365 for this year.  I’ve found it really hard the last few weeks, but would quite like to do it again next year.  It’s definitely getting harder, and I’m finding the poor weather isn’t helping.

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

Sunday, N had his cousin to round to plan for a couple of hours. They spent some time out in the garden.  N was looking like a proper little farmer with his waistcoat on.  Amazing that pre-the colder weather this week, that they found it that warm to play out in.

Monday was a hard day.  I find I quite often have to take a back up morning photo in case I don’t take any later on.  Seeing N that morning made me chuckle because he’d got  everything set out round him, ready to eat, drink or play.

Tuesday, we finally got round to doing our review on The Bully and the Shrimp.  N really enjoyed the book, but I do find that I don’t take my camera upstairs which is where we read, so then need to try and encourage him to read outside of bedtime so we can get photos.

Wednesday we had our bonfire and fireworks at the farm. It was lovely to get all the family together, and the weather was wonderful for standing (or lying) on the side of our hill.

Thursday, I had a bit of a washing disaster.  Ok, so the jumper was already holey, but oops.  The navy jumper used to be the size of the t shirt, and after being put into the wash with the OH’s work gear, it’s now even too small for N.

Friday was a bit of a slack photo day, until we went to have a fish and chip takeaway.  N loves to sit on the window ledge and watch the queue growing and getting smaller.

waiting at the fish and chip shopSaturday was a pottering day.  Lots of chores, birthdays to buy for, Christmas presents to think about, visiting friends for birthdays, and (a disastrous) swimming lesson.  N wanted to sit on the Bananas in Pyjamas ride at Tesco.  I took that literally, so he had a couple of minutes to sit on it before we carried on what we had to do.  Luckily, he’s usually happy just to sit on and pretend it’s moving.

I feel a bit rubbish as we’ve not done anything together other than chores, running around sorting things out, and that’s not changing this weekend.  I’ve got to drag him along to visit my nan now she’s in the care home as we need to take her some things from home and get some forms filled in by the doctor and care home to sort out payment.  Once all this is sorted out, hopefully we’ll have a bit more time at weekends to actually do things we want to.

    1. I’m not keen on the camera. N’s only just started grabbing it, but it’s permanently dead. I was planning to sell this one, and then get him a cheap digital one

    1. Thankfully it had 2 holes in the front, and one on the shoulder. His comment was ‘you’ll just have to buy me a new one’. Given I tend to buy his clothes anyway, I’d have been replacing the holey one when I’d noticed it had holes in.

  1. 7 days? That would be great Lol. Yep, it’s always that balance. This weekend had been cramming everything in both days. I never feel like I’ve had a break.

  2. I think we all have weeks like this, I try to turn some of the chores into games, but it’s tricky when you just need to get stuff done! Love the photo on the sofa, very organised 🙂

    1. So true, but doing family things that are unexpected aren’t fun and take up too much free time I should be spending with N outside work
