I think most people’s children have finished school for the summer now. N finished on Thursday with an inset day on Friday which gave us a lovely 3 free days to prepare for our camping trip. So N has now finished year 1 – the first 2 years have sped by, and I supposed, sadly the next 5 will speed on by even faster. Here’s this week’s School Days. VIP N was pleased to come home on the last day… Continue Reading “School Days – VIP and fun week”
I’ve been seeing a lot of flax fields recently near us. Previously there haven’t been any round us, so it’s been lovely to see the fields amongst the greens and yellows. From a distance they look bloe, but up close, a beautiful purple. The field I managed to stop to photograph had a few lone poppies and a smattering of white flowers too.
This week’s Project 365 was a bit of a slog. This year’s felt a bit different with being less inspired – not helped by demoralising Instagram, now I’ve lost 300 followers in 2 months. I’m now just thinking sod that, and will just enjoy looking at my feed myself. Because I’m proud of the photos I take and how much my photography has improved over the last couple of years. So only week 29 of Project 365. On Sunday I… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 29”
This week’s Living Arrows shot was one taken in the week of N on the swing. He’s had the theory for years about making a swing go – legs forward and back, and then knowing he needed to lean. But until this week, he’s just not grasped putting the lean with the legs. But he’s cracked it and I hadn’t even realised until I spotted him in the garden going higher and hugher. Our climbing frame isn’t secured into the… Continue Reading “Living Arrows – swing in sunset”
It’s a fortnight of Project 365 for me this week. Going to Cornbury Festival last week didn’t leave me time to do it, and then I just didn’t get round to it over this week. So here’s our week 27 and 28. Week 27 As well as the intended new puppy, I discovered on Sunday, we also have 3 new farm kittens. Yes, yet more. This is the fluffiest of the bunch. The other 2 didn’t want to be photographed.… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 27 and 28”
Ok, so the hot weather at the moment doesn’t suit me, but it’s still nice to get outdoors for a bit of garden relaxation after school. We even tried doing N’s reading outside, although it’s not easy for 2 people to get comfortable and still be able to read the book together. N spent most of the time hiding from the camera, but I did manage to get this one which I love. It might be summer, but yes, N… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 27 – garden relaxation”
We’re rapidly on countdown with only 2 weeks of school left before summer. It’s come round so quickly and this week has had lots going on on the admin side of school rather than school work. Parents evening Last week reports came home, and this week was parents’ evening. Usually I have lots to talk about and end up over-running (the joys of opting for the final slot), but this year it was all short and to the point. N’s… Continue Reading “School Days – parents evening and results”
I was struggling for photos this week of N. He’s avoided the camera well all week, but I remembered to check my camera and on it found this 1 photo from last week. Last Saturday we went to a 70s themed 40th birthday party. N thought his dad looked really strange (so did I!) in his purple flower power dodgy ‘velour’ flares and top. Add to that this 70s wig and it was a hideous outfit. N was quite taken… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 27 – 70s wig”
