There’s been some lovely sunsets earlier this week, and one evening 2 of the cousins turned up for some football in the garden. The 3 of them had a great time, with N occasionally going on the climbing frame to survey his ‘land’ across the fields. I was hoping to get him on the monkey bars, but he’s started to get scared of them. That’s despite him last year being quite happy to whizz straight across hem, much to my… Continue Reading “My Sunday Photo – sunset silhouette”
It’s a double week this time for my Project 365, into week 12 and 13. Week 12 On Sunday, we went for a spring walk in the park so N could scoot. I was disappointed to only see one tree with blossom. Instead there was a lot more graffiti. It’s a shame our town don’t have more talented graffiti artists, because it just looks scruffy rather than artistic. On Monday, N brought another reading book series home. They do like… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 12-13 – volleys and feathers”
This week’s My Sunday Photo is the first day this year we’ve properly spent out in the garden. It’s still too water logged on the grass really, but we got the kite out for some kite flying. Of course, as soon as we got it unfurled, the wind died down and N got bored trying. So while he went off and cut the grass (with scissors), I enjoyed some relaxation and kite flying. Taking me back to my childhood.
We used to go to the library regularly, but haven’t been since last summer. With N getting reading books from school and refusing to read his books at home himself, a library visit seems a lot of effort if I need to have him with me. But this weekend N had requested to visit the library and get some books out. We dug out his library card, paid an extortionate £1.50 for the nearest car park (no free parking in… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 12 – library visit”
We’re into week 11 of Project 365, and it’s gone from lovely warm weather to freezing. A mixed March. Here’s our week. On Sunday it was raining in the morning. N asked to go to soft play. On a Sunday in the rain. Thankfully we got there early when it opened and he enjoyed an hour of play before he was bored and wanted to go home. An expensive hour, but he enjoyed it and doesn’t go very often, so… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 11”
We’re on to week 10 of Project 365, a photo a day for a year, and this week I’ve been surprised at how many photos I’ve chosen of N. And how many fewer other photos I’ve taken. What I find is that I take loads on one day, and then very few on other days. On Sunday, N dragged his sleeping bag downstairs to build a den. I love this photo – I think he was trying to avoid having… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 10”
