It’s onto week 7 of this year’s Project 365 and half term for us. N and I went away for a few days, so there were plentiful photos to choose from. I may have taken 600+ photos across my phone and camera. Oh and not forgetting my GoPro videos (and accidental photos on there!). They’re all downloaded to my laptop, organised and sorted out, weeding out the rubbish shots, and now just to tag them as I edit for blog… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 7 – half term fun”
N has always struggled with blowing bubbles from old fashioned bubbles tubes. This contraption was in his stocking from Father Christmas. All it needs is a wipe of the bubble solution on the end where there are lots of little holes. It creates tonnes of small bubbles in a non stop stream. N loves it, me less so. Yes he can blow lots of bubbles, but those damn little bubbles aren’t ones that pop. They’re a funny glue-y bubble that… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 7 – blowing bubbles”
It’s been really chilly this week, and it culminated in me spotting this lone icicle hanging next to the bedroom window. Of course I didn’t have my big camera, only my phone. But given I had to bend my arm holding the phone out of the window in an uncomfortable position, I didn’t mind. Thankfully my phone camera is pretty good and I could get in the trees in the icicle.
It’s week 6 of Project 365, and things are looking up for photography taking. Yes, leaving work at 5 now sees it still light. Added to that, N actually let me take some photos so I’ve had quite a lot of him to choose from this week. On Sunday it was a wet day, and I spent a bit of time taking water droplets photos on weeds and the car. I love the car’s reflection in these ones. On Monday… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 6 – raindrops and blankets”
N enjoys school but the one thing he’s not keen on is writing. So I was happy to see him getting excited about being close to completing his reward chart writing row – he only needed 6 stickers. So one evening he wrote all 4 of his birthday thank you letters. Then not satisfied that he still had 2 stickers to get, he decided to write about dinosaurs. Three sentences later, I had a piece of paper with information about… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 6 – writing practice”
It’s week 5 of project 365 and I’ve been really rubbish with the camera. We’ve not been anywhere for weeks (no day trips or venturing out to even the park), since just after Christmas. I’d been hoping to this weekend but even that’s not happened. Now N’s swimming is just 30 minutes later, it eats into any time we might have for going out for the morning or even the day. I hate arriving places later than opening, having to… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 5 – illness and cats”
This week’s living arrows makes me smile just looking at it – N in full flow of laughter. He is a cheery little boy usually, and whatever he does there’s always something for him to find funny. I can’t even remember what he was doing here other than cutting and sticking. He does a lot of that. He may have been making a paper plate dinosaur because that school topic seems to have stuck with him this week. I love… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 5 roaring with laughter”
Sometimes you see some amazing sunsets and sunrises in the UK, and this was one this week. A fiery sky, it really did look as though the sky was on fire and burning behind the tree. We’re so lucky living on the farm. We see everything around us, although taking photos of the best skies is sometimes restricted depending on which window I can hang out of at the time.
It’s week 4 of Project 365, and has been a mixed one. From good spirits at turning 6 last weekend, to being sick this weekend and missing his own joint party. Missing it doesn’t seem to be worrying N too much, although at least 1 person isn’t going because they were N’s invite and don’t know anyone else. So hope they still have fun without him. On Sunday, N was out in the garden with his cousin. The 2 of… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 4 – cinema and cats”
Birthday balloons. Pretty much an essential for a child’s birthday. And I think this was his favourite present. Well, maybe apart from the walkie talkies which have already found one make its way down the road to his cousin’s house so they can chat. N had a fairly quiet birthday. His party is next week. Just a swimming lesson, lunch at home because he didn’t want to go out, and then a friend’s party in the afternoon. Although after joining… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 4 – birthday balloons”
