After 3 years of having a great camera and using manual, I’ve finally shot in RAW when we went to Banbury Michaelmas fair.
Did it make a difference? Not to my eyes – my editing of my fair photos, didn’t make much difference to the good shots once I was comparing them edited to the jpeg versions. But for the photos that weren’t that great, it did make a little more difference in making them workable. Maybe I need more work on my editing! Some of my other shots were pretty good straight out of the camera – the long exposures of rides worked well. But I quite like the unfocused look of this one.
I’m also using Polarr which is free rather than spending on Lightroom. I’m due to start a flower photography class in a couple of weeks and for that there’s a lot of editing expected, so I’ll reserve judgement and see how they come out.
