Last week I had a day off work, and N the day off holiday club.  The decision was made to have a day trip to London.  Of course there were lots of ‘I don’t want to go on a boat/don’t want to go/don’t know what I want to dos’ before and during the trip.  But the weather was beautiful and we did in fact get to do everything to plan as well as N enjoying it.

But most important for the day was the eating out.  N, like me, loves to eat out and have a treat.  When we were deciding where to eat, all N cared about was getting food NOW.  So out came my money off vouchers as we were standing right outside Pizza Express.

N had pasta as usual, and I looked up to see him scraping out the remaining garlic butter from his dough balls, and putting it onto his pasta.  I didn’t catch a photo of him trying to then lick out the bowl.  I do teach him table etiquette, I swear.

  1. Sounds like you had a great day – it’s funny how we have to convince our kids that they’ll enjoy something, when will they start just believing us the first time? 🙂 #LivingArrows

    • That’s what it’s like all the time with N. He’s a nightmare….unless I tell him we’re going on a train or bus to get there!

  2. He loves it! And I don’t blame him – I love Pizza Express so much and I really REALLY miss it! x x #livingarrows

  3. Ah you can’t beat Pizza Express! I keep trying different places but we always come back to PE – something for everyone & always a deal on!

    • We’re fairly limited round here so we do eat in PE a fair amount. I had lots of different options, only round the corner, but he wasn’t budging any further until he had food. You’re right though – reliable an tasty

  4. Garlic butter is one of the yummiest things! I think I could eat a bowl full too x

    • I love it too, but prefer to use it up on the dough balls (another of my favourite things). He told me beforehand that he didn’t like dough balls and only wanted the pasta, but of course he’d just forgotten how nice they are. Damn, I’ thought I’d get to eat his!

  5. I love to eat out and so do the girls, the OH on the other hand hates eating out. Don’t know how we will manage next week when we are on London for a week.
