One lazy early morning for me. The sun streaming in from the wrong direction. And N still insisting on riding the rocking horse.
It’s the one that my uncle Geoff (well, step Grandad) all those years ago got out of a skip, repainted. Then my mum repainted in readiness for N being older enoguh. And now he’s really getting a bit big for it, but I don’t want to throw it away.

It looks like a great rocking horse, and what a lovely story behind it too – no wonder you don’t want to get rid of it. #LivingArrows
It’s a lovely keepsake. So much thought and work went into it. #livingarrows
It’s lovely that he still enjoys playing on it. It would be a shame to give it away, hopefully you can store it for when he’s a grown up if he has his own family x
Thats gorgeous I hope you can get to keep it forever, I wouldn’t be able to part with it
Me too. If the OH had his way, it’d be chopped up and burnt
Oh it’s so lovely that he still has the rocking horse. I bet it will be sad when he’s too big for it x
Aww! That is lovely….
I don’t think I could bring myself to throw something like that away. x
I know, I’ve been hanging on. Ideally I’d be able to put it in the roof but I’m not sure we’d get it up there
