It’s unusual for us to see snow like this, but even more so in December. But we had a lot fall – from early Sunday right through to the Sunday night.  I’ve been meaning for years to get a nice sunset shot of the sheep, but they never seem to be in the right place. This week, it happened, with added snow.

My Sunday Photo - sheep in sunset field
Sheep at sunset

  1. That’s a beautiful winter scene with the sheep. Love the delicate hues of the sunset and it looks like you had plenty of snow 🙂

  2. A lovely scene – and I like the track snaking off into the distance too. We still haven’t had snow. #mysundayphoto

  3. So much snow. I love the light in this shot, it’s that beautiful light you only get at sunset and with the snowy glow #mysundayphoto

  4. There’s been so much of it and the last few days here have been mostly ice so a bit nerve wracking…so I’m kinda hoping it just all goes away now!

What a gorgeous picture. What a bonus to get snow when the sheep were in just the right place for your photo!

  6. I bet your farm looked lovely all covered in snow, until it thawed. And that’s a photo you wouldn’t get to capture often! The sheep don’t look too worried by it, but how cold do their feet get?

  7. Looks amazing and delighted to see you had proper snow (unlike the tiny amount of sleet in our area, enough to close the school, nonetheless!). At least it gave you the opportunity to get your sunset shot. Impressive image it is too. Looks very bright with all the snow on the ground.

  8. A lovely wintry scene – although it does look particularly cold!

  9. I wouldn’t want to be hunting for grass under all that snow but it does make a pretty picture.
