Rocking, garden style

We’ve not had much outdoor play recently, and now I’m back at work we’ve only got weekends to do things, which are taken up with chores.

Last Sunday N did manage to get a fleeting chance to play in the back garden for a while.  He’s quite happy pottering around, but I have to really keep a watch on him to make sure he doesn’t slope off round the corner of the house to escape to where he can hear the tractor.

He enjoyed rocking on his extremely faded rocker (I’m always concerned it’s going to collapse), and his cosy coupe is a big hit still this year.

Hopefully we’ll get some more sun soon, although the current April showers downpours is suggesting otherwise.

  1. I like the look of his little rocker! We have just got a little bit of grass in our garden and Lucas loves to get out and potter. When the weather is nice I take me tea and sit out in the sun too 🙂

    1. He loves the rocker. It was an ebay bargain job lot – slide, playhouse and rocker, but the others have either blown away/been destroyed or fallen apart. 🙁 I like to sit at the patio doors while he’s playing out when it gets warmer too.

  2. Pottering in the garden is good for kids, using their imagination and entertaining themselves for a while. Allows you to get some of those chores done too! Thank you for joining in with Country Kids.

    1. I’m hoping he’ll get interested in gardening with his grandparents as I’m not interested at all. Maybe he’ll then want to do our garden!

    1. So important to have a garden with kids. We just need to fence ours off as it’s still an open paddock onto the drive/farm. Means I have to be there to keep an eye on him at the moment.
