  1. Funky Wellies

Love this. Great perspective with added smile and colour! 🙂 xx

  2. Peekaboo! Those wooden pillars are just the right height for him to hide behind. Lovely flash of red against the dark wood too.

    • I think he was excited because some of the posts had a bit of water left around them, so stepping from one side to the other was a bit of a surprise.

  3. Loving the picture. Must admit have never been to the beach on a winters day…should try it one day

    • Ooh definitely. It’s so different, but still good fun. Just need to wrap up warm.

I had taken a kids kite with us, but it was just too windy – I thought the string would probably have broken and we’d have lost the kite!

    • Thanks. I was really pleased with all the photos I took on the beach. They came out really well (and the joys of a smart phone camera.

    • It’s lovely being on the beach at this time of year. Might not be warm, but less sand in places you don’t want, and less busy so better photos.

  4. Such a gorgeous photo! Love the splash of colour x

    • Thanks. I’m pleased how all the photos came out – definitely lucky he was wearing a bright coat, instead of his usual dull winter one

    • Me too. Just doesn’t happen often, so any chance we get we’re on it whatever the weather

    • Thank you. Definitely one of my favourites of the hundred I took on the beach!

  5. Fiona @ Free Range Chick

I really like this photo – the natural shades of the wood and sand with the splash of orange from your little lad looks very cool.

    • Thanks. It’s one of my favourites of all the ones I took on the beach. Lucky he wore that coat instead of his duller winter one.

    • You can’t beat the seaside for taking photos. they always seem to come out well.

    • We were definitely lucky with the tide. Well, plenty of dry beach to play on, but it is a big intertidal zone round there, so would have been a long walk to the sea if he wanted to paddle

  6. Fair, Fake and Fifty

LOVE this photo, the beach, the perspective and the gorgeous child dressed in a splash of colour!

    • Thanks. It’s one of my favourites. I did take about 10o of him on the beach in some way or another. Pleased he was in his bright coat instead of his warm winter one. They wouldn’t have come out anywhere as good.

    • I’d love to go more often, but living in the middle of the country doesn’t provide many opportunities.

  7. Lovely picture. Won’t be long before he’ll want to be climbing up and jumping from post to post.

    • Funny you should say that. I tried to get him to stand on one of the lower posts for a photo and he blatantly refused. Maybe next time!

    • Thanks. Really nice to get a splash of colour against the browns and sandy tones.

  8. Great photo! We spent half term week on beaches in the rain. It didn’t put my little one off at all! Still so much fun 🙂

    • When you don’t live near a beach, any chance to get there is good fun. It was only his third time, so it was really hard to get him away from it.
