Day one of Blogmas 2020
In 8 years of blogging I’ve never done Blogmas. I’ve done a 12 days of Christmas run up and collaborative giveaway – my posts are still live if you want other Christmas tips and insight into our Christmas traditions. Just search ‘Christmas; in the search bar. But I decided that this year I had a couple of Christmas posts I wanted to share, and thought I’d package them up and join in with Blogmas.
What is Blogmas?
Blogmas is basically blogging in the run up to Christmas. Usually it’s daily blogging, and quite often a group of bloggers will get together with writing prompts or to find each others posts. Because it’s always good to support fellow bloggers and find new ones. If you like watching videos, then Vlogmas is also going on for those who prefer that medium.
I may miss a few days, or I may mix in some non Christmas themed posts, because I do like to talk write and always have lots of posts to put live.
Christmas is one of the best times of the year (until it snows – looks pretty in photographs, but where we live, it’s an inconvenience), and I love the run up more than the day itself.
Living with two of the male variety, getting excited about Christmas is allowed at different levels. N and I get all excited, and I try and do some Christmassy things with him from late November. On the other hand, the OH thinks it’s commercialised and an inconvenience for work. Because being on a farm, the animals still need to be fed, and it’s often a harder time of year to work especially if the weather turns cold and snowy.
So I’ll be sharing some of the things we get up to. Some of the traditions. The food, the decorations and some tips on being able to relax as well as getting everything read (my tip, start way earlier than this post. Although I don’t always take my own advice).
If there’s anything you’d like to ask or want to see on the blog, then do let me know on social media or in the comments below, and I’ll try and cover it off. I may even do a Christmas themed vlog.
So welcome to Blogmas.
