This week’s Living Arrows shot was taken during the drier sunnier weather last week. N’s always wandering between the farm and our house, and this he was watching out for the puppies and where they had gone.
We’re rapidly nearing the end of 2017 already. Week 38 of Living Arrows, and into autumn meaning less outdoor time and more indoor photography. I’ve not taken many photos at all this week, and an even lower proportion of photos of N. Now he’s back at school and me at work, then evenings he quite often goes over to the farm or out with his dad, it means there’s not many chances to take them. When out and about generally… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 38 – focused play”
With all the blog nightmares, I wasn’t able to post last week’s Living Arrows photo. So I’m doubling up this week. The first for week 34 was taken at Kilkenny Lane Country Park. I love how it’s such a natural shot and the light was just right. The second photo was taken this week. N had spent the day at a friend’s house for a playdate. A third boy from school joined them too, and the 3 of them spent… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 34-35”
The end of week 2 of the school holidays and N chooses to go to soft play. It was a bit of a surprise, I’d expected another day without him while he went out farming. Luckily our local soft play was surprisingly empty so he had a good 1 1/2 hours of play before he was ready for lunch. His favourite part was trampolining. He’s really missed our trampoline which blew away (yes all 14 feet of it) in new… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 32 – trampolining”
The first week of the summer holidays, we spent on our annual camping trip with several of our farming friends – mums and kids, plus a couple of dads. We were missing a few of the families from last year, but it’s a lovely group to spend time with and brilliant for the children to enjoy each other’s company. The first 2 days were beautiful – sunny and hot. After pitching the tents, we headed down to Three Cliffs Bay… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 31 – beach digging”
N had an inset day on Friday and decided that he just wanted to go to the park for a cycle. He didn’t manage much cycling because we had so much other stuff to do for camping prep, so stuck with the playground instead. This isn’t his natural face…I caught him just as he was grimacing about me taking a photo, but I like the openness of his body as he popped out of the tunnel.
This week’s Living Arrows shot was one taken in the week of N on the swing. He’s had the theory for years about making a swing go – legs forward and back, and then knowing he needed to lean. But until this week, he’s just not grasped putting the lean with the legs. But he’s cracked it and I hadn’t even realised until I spotted him in the garden going higher and hugher. Our climbing frame isn’t secured into the… Continue Reading “Living Arrows – swing in sunset”
