Project 52 2018 week 46 – berries
This week, week 46 of Project 52, has whizzed by after a slower week last week. It’s not been any busier than normal, just felt faster.
On Sunday, N and I went to the cinema to watch The Grinch. We both thought it was excellent – lots of laughing (although maybe that was just us, we’re quite loud laughing compared with everyone else in the cinema). Before we arrived there we also got to see the Remembrance Day parade around Banbury Cross. Not just the usual groups marching, but also army vehicles, old cars and veterans on bikes. N had been quite scared over the last few months, saying he was worried about the war. But in the run up he seemed more interested in finding out about it rather than scared thankfully.
Monday was back to school and work.
Tuesday, N’s swimming and tennis was off due to them having a cross country race on. N’s school did really well, with several children in the top 5 and top 10 across the 4 races. N came 37th, which was great for him. He said he was 36th last year, but then was the top of the age group, and this year was the bottom. He said he enjoyed it.
The rest of the week was just normal stuff. His Saturday swimming lesson was cancelled due to air pump issue at the pool. That meant N was over the moon because he could go on the full day shoot instead of after swimming. It also meant I had the whole of Saturday to myself. I did quite a bit of Christmas shopping, had my hair cut and just mooched at home. Then had chinese for tea which I never get the rest of the time because the OH won’t eat it.
This week’s photo was taken at the supermarket in the car park. Just shows you have to keep your eye open everywhere (plus the rest of the week I didn’t take many photos).
We haven’t had a Chinese for ages, hope you enjoyed it. Well done on the running, our schools were involved in cross country last week too #365
We’re feeling Christmassy already! Just started our Christmas shopping. Love the colours in your piccy! #MySundayPhoto
A great run then, well done N.
Oh dear at 2 swimming lessons cancelled, but great it gave you a day at home by yourself. I enjoy a Chinese, not had one in months.
Not seen any berries lately, did see some earlier in the year.
The Grinch looks like a fab film. I want to see it too.
Lovely photo. That does make me feel festive x
brilliant image, and its great that you didn’t have to go far to capture it. #mysundayphoto
Lovely photo, well done on the N on your running.
Love the colours you have drawn out of the image here Emma. Also a very seasonal pic. #mysundayphoto
Wow, you would never have guessed that was taken in the supermarket car park! Well done to N on his cross country. I’m very jealous that you’ve done a lot of Christmas shopping. I’ve done very little, have no ideas (teenage boys are a nightmare to buy for) and have no time!
Hi Emma, I imagine that a lot of children are worried about war these days with there overactive imaginations and what they see in the news… A whole day to do as you wish sounds like a treat, glad you made the most of it… Those berries look positively festive too!

Oh I want to take the girls to watch The Grinch! Might go this week.
Sounds like you made the most of having Sunday to yourself!
Love the berrie photo!
Lovely shot! It’s so true. I feel like i haven’t seen anything I want to photograph for ages, then suddenly… #sundayphoto
