Project 52 2025 week 32
Wow, my weeks are boring. All pretty much the same unless I’ve got a day off. I really should do more exciting stuff on the weekends! But then it’s too hot for me to wander round by the time places open up. Anyway, here’s my week 32 for Project 52.
Sunday – decided to book 2 line dance workshops elsewhere, one’s on the same weekend as the dance weekender I’ve missed out on. Will be different to be taught by some different people, and see how friendly people are in other locations.
Monday – back to work. Quite a quiet day, not much going on. I’m getting through my books pretty quickly at the moment, but I really need to get back into some longer more challenging books than just fast romances.
Tuesday – I was in the office today. Loving being in although it has been quieter this summer. Quick Tesco shop for a couple of bits before heading straight off to dancing. I love people watching and dance classes are interesting to see what people are like. There’s a new woman who turns up in high heeled court shoes. Which is ridiculous as she can’t do the steps in unsupportive high heeled shoes.
Wednesday – another office day. N’s definitely not going back to football, but the coaches haven’t had full confirmation which I want him to do so he can say thanks for the last couple of years too, and give his reasons to them. It’s only fair for the time investment and support they’ve put in.
Thursday – just work, and then dancing in the evening. N made pizzas in the pizza oven for them for tea. He’s getting quite a pro at them. But the oven does get through a lot of pellets. I bought a massive 10kg bag in Tesco for £3.25 so hopefully they’ll be ok once we’ve got through the original bag I bought.
Friday – the washing machine doesn’t like a 60C wash. It’s again not draining, so I’m going to have to call someone out to look at it. Finished watching My Oxford Year on Netflix. I bawled my eyes out, but it was lovely to see all the locations in Oxford.
Saturday – quick nip to the bakery, then back to take N and his cousin swimming. It’s earlier on a Saturday which is weird, but back in time for lunch. My brother popped over for a catch up as we’ve not seen him for a while. Otherwise, just a fairly relaxing afternoon.

Things I’ve enjoyed this week:
- My Oxford Year film, even though it was sad
- Puppy snuggles before work with the dog N was looking after one day.
- Revisiting line dances I know to try and get the older ones back in my mind.
Things I’m grateful for this week:
- N enjoying time on the farm, so not having to worry about what he’s getting up to while I work.
- Time to read
- A teen who can and will cook – saves worrying about what tea they’ll have if I’m late in.
That’s a lovely looking treat from the bakery. Sorry to hear N has retired from football. I hope his coaches understood his reasons.
Sounds like you’re enjoying the line dancing classes and it will be interesting to try sessions in other locations and see how they are. Hope you manage to get your washing machine fixed. It’s lovely that N enjoys cooking so much. #project365
I hope you find some friendly people at the line dancing workshops. Eek to the woman in the unsuitable heeled shoes. I always think of line dancers in flat shoes or cowboy boots with a tiny heel.
That pizza sauce looks delicious!
I feel like that sometimes about the weeks, but most of life is pretty mundane and can’t be exciting all the time.
Having a teen who can and will cook sounds great; it’s such an important life skill, too.
I hope the washing machine is an easy fix and not too expensive.
