Ad – gifted for review

Having been to plenty of agriculture and country shows over the years, I’m familiar with Rydale and their country clothing range. They asked me to choose from their current range to share a review with my readers.

There are also accessories and as I’m inbetween sizes and hoping to still lose some weight I decided against one of their cosy stripy hoodies, and instead chose the Allerton suede zip clutch purse from the Rydale Clothing bags and purses range.

Rydale clutch purse review

Rydale Clothing is a UK company, with clothes inspired and designed in Yorkshire. With country clothing for women, men and children there’s something for everyone. With prints including hare, deer and dog motifs on shirts, tweed jackets and blazers, polo shirts and classic tops and hoodies, there’s plenty to choose from in a range of sizes. Some ladies items go up to a size 22 which I was pleased to see as many ladies wear brands stop at a size 16 or 18.

I’m picky with purses and bags, so I knew that it would have to include what I like – plenty of space for cards, room for my phone, and smart enough to be used in the evening for a semi casual meal out, as well as in the day if I’m nipping out.

When it arrived I was really pleased. I’d chosen the tan colourway (there’s also navy), and it’s a leather clutch purse with a leather and suede design. With a full wallet zip closure with a zip tag, wrist strap and decorative tassel, it’s casual enough for my day to day use, as well as smart enough if I’m going to the pub.

There’s just enough room for my S10 phone which isn’t the smallest, although my bulky car key wouldn’t also fit. So money, a thin lipgloss, a couple of tissues, money, cards and phone, and I’d be sorted for a nip out without a bulky bag.

I like that there’s so many card pockets. Many ladies purses don’t have enough for me, but there’s plenty in this purse, as well as a zip pocket for coins. Inside, there’s a pretty navy lining with pheasants on.

As it’s leather, I know it’ll last and will only need an occasional wipe over with a cloth to keep it looking nice. And tan goes with everything, so it’s a classic purse that won’t date.

There’s currently a sale on at Rydale’s website, so you can get some great deals. N’s old shooting jacket is a Rydale Clothing coat, so I’m eyeing up a couple of shirts and hats for him.

What would you choose from Rydale Clothing?

  1. I came across this looking for reviews after seeing it online and not being able to make up my mind. But is this a purse or a clutch I’m confused? I thought from looking at it that it was just a purse but your description makes it sound like it should be used as a clutch bag. Not helping with my indecision lol!

It’s large for just a purse, you’d need a large bag if you wanted to put it in one. You could fit a normal size smartphone in, so it’s more of a clutch. They call it a clutch purse. But you’re not going to fit in loads of extra stuff as it’s still quite slim. If you just want to take more than just a phone and debit card out with you, and have a bag to finish off an outfit, then this is great. Hopefully that’s helpful
