Toddlerisms no. 11: Muse me
At 2 years old, N’s not doing too badly at being polite and learning good behaviour.
He says please (mostly), thank you (lots) and pardon me (very occasionally).
But he’s got a new phrase…”muse me”.
It’s meant to be excuse me, but he’s not quite got it. Because he’s missing some, and generally says it as he’s walking straight through or in front of someone, others get confused at what he’s saying.
The other day in town, he was walking straight towards an elderly lady saying ‘muse me, muse me’. She looked extremely baffled as he was probably mumbling.
It must be his new favourite phrase though as he says it all the time to me.
