Christmas display treats
Day 3 of Advent saw us going for a trip to Milton Keynes to see the Christmas displays. Last year N was too small to really understand and wasn’t that fussed (plus it was really busy being on a Saturday), but I know he likes trains so he’d enjoy the little ride on there.
We arrived early so no queuing needed and no crowds to fight through. He was transfixed by all the lights and the displays, but it was the little train that he loved. We went for a short trip round the display on it, threw coins into the wishing pond.
The day also included swooshing in some leaves
And then checking out the bikes in Halfords. We went to work out helmets for him as for his birthday he’s getting a balance bike (from Grandma). Am pleased to say he found one in the store and was insistent on riding it around, so looks like he’ll love his present (hopefully he’s not too small for it). Halfords customer service as ever, was non-existent. Lots of staff doing stuff but not serving downstairs, but only one person serving upstairs with the bikes. We gave up waiting and went to the local independent store in town. Great service and advice, so hopefully he’ll be getting his helmet from there.
It was a lovely day, although quite tiring. Can’t wait to do more Christmassy things with him
