Project 52 2025 week 14
This week was a busy week, with some fun thrown in. I seem to have a few more outside work things going on at the moment so it’s nice to have different places and people to see. Here’s my week 14 for Project 52.
Sunday – Didn’t do much, other than quick nip into town in the morning for some bits. N was meant to be car washing, but they’d forgotten and one had taken the car out. So he came into town with me. But then a fairly relaxing day, just a bit of clothes washing/folding and prepping dinner etc.
Monday – busy busy again. Not much went on other than work.
Tuesday – the good thing about having things in the evening is I have to log off the laptop at a decent time. Long day, but did have the fun of line dancing in the evening. Because it was the last of the 12 in that beginner ‘course’, it was a fun session. We went over lots of the dances we’ve learnt, but also did a ‘fun’ dance that got faster to beat the music. I was a bit hot by the end of it. We also did one dance that was round the room in 4s that was fun and worked well in the group I was in. We’ve got a week off, then back to the start of another 12 weeks.
Wednesday – up super early (5.30!) to catch the very early train to London so I could be in and ready for my 9 o’clock call. Then a team day, followed by a bit of socialising playing crazy golf. I love crazy golf, so it did get a bit competitive, but all good fun. I ended up 1st female, and 3rd overall just missing 2nd by 1 point. I hadn’t intended to leave so late, but ended up getting home after 10. So a very tiring day.
Thursday – N realised that I didn’t have parmesan or spaghetti in (he refused to use other pasta types), so we had to go shopping in the evening ahead of his food tech lesson.
Friday – busy working day. Chatted over the fence to our neighbours after N had dragged one of them to play football in the garden with him. Poor man!
Saturday – N’s football team had had it agreed they could do a 9v9 because we were very short with it being several people’s Easter holiday already. The opposing team turned up and refused to play with 9, so had 10 on the pitch (and 14 brought with them so lots of subs). Our boys absolutely scrapped it out with no subs, one U13 playing up, and a first time goalie. One player had to go off as he’d had a bumped head, but luckily was ok and came back on again a while later. The opponents even added an 11th player at one point after we scored, but did go back down to 10. They were not happy, not helped by having a disallowed goal due to offside. They’d have still lost anyway as we got 2 goals in. Good job done, and needed for our team.
In the evening I remembered I had a theatre trip to see Country Hits Live at Warwick. The parking there is all over the place, nightmare. The show itself was great, although I didn’t like everyone going up and dancing at the front because it distracted from the performance on stage.

No new posts this week. Again.
Things I’ve enjoyed this week:
- Crazy golf! Love a bit of competition
- Nice chat on the way home from London
- Watching the boys win at football with 9 vs 10/11 on the pitch!
- Country music, even though I didn’t know all of it.
Things I’m grateful for this week:
- More sun but not too hot (must remember to water my plants)
- Having a brother who’s local and can help transport N around when we’ve had clashing things on
- A win for our football team given they were down so many out of their squad.
The works crazy golf day sounded a lot of fun. Shame about the opposition football team not wanting to play 9v9, good on N’s team for getting on with it though.
The line dancing session sounds like it was a lot of fun and good to switch off from work in the evening. The crazy golf sounded like it was fun too. Well done on N’s team on winning their football match even with the other team having more players. #project365
The line dancing sounds like a lot of fun and the crazy golf too.
I am so glad N’s team won the match.
It sounds like you’ve had a busy but fun week.
I like it when the weather turns warm but not too hot, I wish summer was like this with a nice breeze.
Well done on the football win!
The team day sounds fun, I love crazy golf although am super competitive at it. Well done boys on the football!
