Project 52 2026 week 28
It’s been a bit of a tiring week. I don’t think the hot weather is helping, as I’ve had a couple of good nights sleep according to my Fitbit. The final school week of the year, so only one left to go. It’s come round so fast. Here’s my week 28 for Project 52.
Sunday – well, that was a late night, early morning as England men’s football team took Norway to extra time to win the quarter finals. Whoop, we’re through to the semis. I was surprised N was already up at 7.30 when I came downstairs.
Monday – so tired and quite headachy all day. Could have done with a nap really. Not much done other than work, and N back to school after last week’s work experience. Sports day was cancelled due to the anticipated heat (which would have been his last one). He was only bothered because it meant more lessons and no ice cream van.
Tuesday – in the office for work which was a bit of a faff around trying to find someone to pick up N from the bus as it’s harvest. Luckily his gran could get him. Then dancing in the evening. It was super hot, but they were good classes, and we learnt new dances. I just wish other people would remember them so we can actually practice them to remember them for socials. There’s no point knowing over 100 dances, if we don’t dance them regularly, then I forget half of them (and I’m the one who’s good at remembering them).
Wednesday – so close but yet so far for England, losing in the last 5 minutes to Argentina. I shouldn’t do predictions because I predicted we’d lose 2-1. Oops. Definitely some bad decisions made by the manager on subs, but also I don’t understand why they stopped pushing forward after our first goal. But hey, I’m not a footballer/manager.
Thursday – another tired day. I think the heat is just getting to me. My INR was low below range again although better than it was. So my dose has increased. It’s madness how it can be the same for years, then all of a sudden blip, then a few months later it’ll probably go back to what I was on before. We’re eating a lot more salads rather than cooked veg, so my broccoli intake has gone down which is probably a bit of an impact, and cabbage in coleslaw is increased. The heat might not help either. Fingers crossed next week it’ll be back in range again.
Dropped N off at his clay shooting lesson, then off to dancing as he was getting a lift home. Back to busier again despite the heat. I definitely hogged the back corner space so I was near one of the fans!
Friday – short work day. Short school day for last day of Year 10. N went straight into town with friends to Nandos, play a bit of football before I had to pick him up.
Then last tennis lesson of the year (and I suspect last ever, although he does seem to be hedging his bets), and he was the only one who turned up. I had the amusement of sitting in the car waiting while watching people walking, jumping in, and coming to look at the water leak flooding down the road nearby with Severn Trent trying to stop it. Shame it couldn’t have been saved and used for gardens!
Saturday – early start. Headed to M&S to get some bread and pastries for them for lunch as the bakery and market stalls wouldn’t be open early enough. Frustratingly they were still baking all the bread, so there was very little choice at 8.30.
Then I headed off to the Heart of England Forest for their Garden of Heroes and Villains sculptures day. I’ve never been there before and it was by fluke I spotted it advertised on Facebook a while ago. They only hold it a couple of times a year. I was first one through the gate, and while it was very warm (and felt a lot warmer than 24C), it was so nice to stroll and enjoy seeing the different famous people through the ages, in sculpture format.
Then back home for a more relaxing afternoon in between sorting dinner and getting washing done. N went out topping the field behind us now the cows have been moved out.

Things I’ve enjoyed this week:
- A walk round the sculptures – glad I spotted the ad as it only happens a couple of times a year.
- Dancing
- Thinking about potential places to have a holiday break.
Things I’m grateful for this week:
- A lift home from N’s shooting lesson meaning I could still go dancing.
- A hot day to visit Heart of England Forest, but not as hot as the rest of the week
- New bras – sod M&S with their uncomfortable ones, bra brands cost more (although I did get some in the sale), but are so much more comfy.

That is a lot of dances to be learnt, I was wondering what you were learning the dances for. The hero’s and villains sculptures sounds interesting.
I think the heat has been quite tiring. I hope you’re feeling less tired this week. Learning new dances is good but I agree with you that it’s also important to revisit them regularly too. Hope your INR levels are back within range soon. The sculptures day sounded interesting. Yay to new comfy bras. #project365
Ohh! I had to have a lie in on Sunday morning after staying up to watch the football. lol
That’s a shame N didn’t have a sports day. My girls last ones were rained off and they were happy about that.
I hope your INR is back in range again soon.
