Project 52 2025 week 38
It’s been a weird week. It’s seemed to drag and the weather’s been all over the place. We’ve had a bit of a nightmare going on at school and I’m going to have to speak to them again next week, but otherwise it’s just been fairly normal goings on. Here’s week 38 for Project 52.
Sunday – pretty wet miserable day. I headed to a different town to check out the autumn clothes at Asda and buy some of the knickers I like. Unfortunately they didn’t have any in – so frustrating that all the vpl shorts style nowadays don’t have the lace bit at the top to stop them rolling down. The rest of the day was washing, folding, made another crumble with our apples, started watching one of the mystery thriller series The Feud I’d recorded months ago, and some reading.
Monday – another wet day, and chilly. It’s definitely properly autumn, I’m even having to put on the lights in the morning. Just work and school, not much else going on. N’s been cleaning out his bedroom, so mine now has extra piles of clothes in for charity, my huge Vinted pile which isn’t going down, and recycling. Had our PTSA AGM which I had to chair in absence of our co-chair and treasurer. Someone is taking over my secretary role, but we still need to get a chair (who’s been trying to leave all year), and ideally a treasurer. We’ve got more people joining which is great, but really need people to step up and take on roles.
Tuesday – day in the office. It was quite quiet in compared with normal. Had a catch up over lunch with someone I’ve not spoken to in a while. Did a quick Tesco top up as we needed milk and kitchen towels. Did my usual reducing layers in the car before dancing. Everyone thought it was cold before starting dancing, but I got as hot as usual in the 2 classes.
Wednesday – busy work day before a flexi day. I was quite cold all day despite having my blanket on. Got washloads done, then tried to work out what I could do on my flexi day. No line dancing class tomorrow, and no other day time classes I could find either.
Thursday – had a flexi day. Timings didn’t work for the places I wanted to visit, so I spent the morning photographing the clothing N had cleared out that was suitable for Vinted. Then after getting a couple of bits in town I needed, I spent a couple of hours in a coffee shop uploading them all. I’ve had holiday mode on for months, and really need to re-upload quite a few items, but at least my sales got a fast boost. About 8 items sold that day. Had some lunch, then went home to get a phone call from school and some bits that needed clearing up with that. No dancing this evening, as the teacher’s off for a dancing weekend and I couldn’t find anywhere else running classes anywhere within an hour’s drive that was worth going to.
Friday – busy work day. Booked my flu jab, and packed up more Vinted sales. It turned out to be a lovely day, so N cooked pizzas in the pizza oven. Mine was the first one he’s done for me as I’m usually out when they do them. It was very delicious. Tennis in the evening for him, which feels like the first time in ages.
Saturday – had to drop off 7 Vinted parcels at 2 different places, so a trip into town for that, bakery, and a couple of bits at the supermarket. Then back to a village near us to the post office which has nice gifts – thankfully found something I wanted for my friend’s birthday as I was stumped for ideas. Back home it was all about sorting washing (which is never ending at the moment, prepping tea, making pudding, then an hour or so watching a film.

Things I’ve enjoyed this week:
- Homemade pizza
- A relaxed flexi day
- Chatting to a new PTSA member I gave a lift to – always nice to meet new people.
Things I’m grateful for this week:
- Fast sales on Vinted. Hopefully I’ll make a good dent in the pile in my bedroom, and then will charity shop the rest for a decent clear out that’s well overdue.
- A couple of sunny days with a little bit of warmth.
- Getting through some romance books before I need to cancel my Kindle Unlimited 3 months free trial next week
I only ever buy my knickers from Asda, I’ve been buying them for about 15 years and I hope they never change them.
It has felt like proper Autumn over the last week or so. I am enjoying the cold mornings and warmer afternoons.
Well done with the Vinted sales, it sounds like it’s keeping you busy!
Yum to that pizza!! x
