Project 52 2024 week 46
It’s been a dreary weather week, but quite a bit getting sorted out with admin and trips out. I’m preparing for Christmas stuff starting next week, but N’s annoyed with it already. He says it starts too early on the radio especially. Here’s our week 46 for Project 52.
Sunday – a fairly lazy day, I got organised wrapping my godson’s birthday present ready to send.
Monday – back to work and school. Ordered a couple of tops in a sale online, and spent a fortune posting the OH’s old passport back.
Tuesday – after work I went to Milton Keynes to watch Now That’s What I Call a Musical. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was lots of 80s music, Birmingham accents, and some great singing. I really enjoyed it, although Sonia was a bit disappointing in her guest spot. Thankfully the rest made up for it. It was a late night. I’ve been trying to get to bed before 11, and be asleep by 11.15, and it’s definitely made a difference to my sleep. So not sleeping til after 12 (which used to be quite normal), made me tired the next day.
Wednesday – not much on other than work. Football training in the evening. I got in some reading which I’m really missing now I rarely have more than 15 mins in the mornings after my exercise, and less time before bed.
Thursday – had to sort out the OH’s shotgun licence renewal as part of his form didn’t go through the first time. What a pain.
Friday – got in my exercise early morning before the Tesco delivery, and managed to finish MAFS UK final episode. I’d got a bit behind due to my late theatre night. Looking forward to the New Zealand show starting next (although it’s putting me well behind Christmas movies and various series on my watchlist on Netflix). Made a keto fathead pizza dough for myself for tea while they had normal pizza. It’s been a long time since I’ve had it so it’ll be a bit of a treat.
Saturday – early start for an away football match. On arrival parent’s evening virtual slot booking opened, and luckily could access it and get the slots I wanted.
This was our first ‘hard’ match of the league, with us 2nd, and them 3rd on goal difference. It was a harsh lesson for our boys. They didn’t play badly, had a lot more chances but just couldn’t get the ball in the net. In contrast, their team had 2 very lucky goals including an own goal coming off a shoulder, plus then 2 reasonable ones nearer the end after we’d had all the possession. The boys didn’t seem too dejected about it as they hadn’t played badly. It was going back to last year’s not being able to get the ball in.
Had to pick up an order from Dunelm that I couldn’t remember what I’d ordered – bizarrely I seemed to have ordered 2 similar items and I’m sure I’d only meant to order one. Then hair cut for N before heading back to cook tea.
No new posts this week.
Things I’ve enjoyed this week:
- Another new musical theatre trip
- Vinted sales are picking up – I need to add quite a few items that are on the pile.
- Cheesy Christmas movies
Things I’m grateful for this week:
- Getting to speak to someone at work I don’t work with about aspirations and career opportunities.
- My godson’s birthday presents arrived (any liquids, batteries….errr, that’ll be shower gel and deodorant!)
- Good parking for the theatre despite running later, and non fidgeting annoying people sitting in our area.
Now That’s What I Call A Musical sounds like it was a fun night out. Glad trying to get to sleep earlier is working well for you. That’s a shame that N’s team lost in spite of having more chances – frustrating for them but glad they weren’t too dejected about it. Sophie had her first mixed team match last week and it was interesting to see what a different experience it was with the boys playing in the team too. #project365
Oh no! We’ve had quite a bit of sunshine here but it has been cold.
The Now That’s What I Call a Musical shows sounds good.
Well done to the boys with the football, it does sound like a touch match.
