Project 52 2019 week 31 – cows at sunset
This week, the second of the school holidays and it was back to work for me. N spent the week with the OH on the farm. Well, more like a couple of days on the farm. The rest he spent most of the time play with his cousin – they’ve both decided they like cricket so have been playing that like mad.
On Sunday we went to Hobbycraft and bought some supplies to make up activity kits to keep the kids entertained when camping. There’s rain forecast when we’re going and crafts always keeps children quiet in the early mornings.
Work was fairly quiet, although I had lots to try and get done before being off the next week.
The rest of the week was spent trying to get everything together for camping. N was packed 2 weeks ago, but I hadn’t sorted anything until the latter part of the week.
On Saturday we went to Countryfile Live for a press trip and took along friends with us. N and his friend had a go at the kayaking which they loved. We had a lovely day, although it seemed a lot smaller than previous years. There was no tractor area, just a few scattered in various places. I’m sure a lot of returning visitors will have been disappointed at that.
This week’s photo is of some of the calves in the field and paddock behind the house at sunset.
Hope the camping went well. The rain has been awful recently. Love the sky photo. Such a beautiful evening xx
Oh hadn;t heard of Countryfile Live before. Sounds interesting!
Those calves are cute.
It must be so lovely for N to have his cousin to play with. We agree about Countryfile Live, nice to see you both there #365
would love to go to Countryfile live, I really enjoy the programme.
Craft in a wood can link to all sorts, hope it keeps them quiet for a while at least.
What a gorgeous photo. It sounds like an enjoyable week. I hope the weather isn’t too bad for your camping trip.
Fingers crossed for a dry spell during your camping trip. The craft kits sound like a great idea.

Beautiful scenic photo. Hope your camping goes smoothly, and the weather isn’t too bad.
Was the Countryfile show in the grounds of the Blenheim palace? Haven’t been there in ages.
I hope N still enjoyed Countryfile despite the lack of tractors
Good luck with the camping. I hope the rain isn’t too bad.
Gorgeous photo. It looks like a lovely evening. x
