This week’s living arrows shot was taken at the Black Country Living Museum which we visited last week. N had got a bit bored and was trying to block me from going into another building. This time the church. We had a bit of fun with me trying to get past, which of course I eventually did. Nice shots of him are now few and far between, so when I get photos with the right light and a great smile,… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 47- cheeky tricking”
It’s week 46 of Project 365, and I’ve a real mix of photos this week. Thankfully this week N has agreed to some photos, so at least I’ve managed to get some of him. On Sunday we visited the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley. We had a lovely time exploring all the old buildings. On Monday it was a normal work day. After a colleague went home one of the guys decided to have a bit of fun with… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 46 – flower photography and crochet”
This week’s Living Arrows shot was taken in front of our very messy backroom. It’s full of N’s rubbish, one complete and one half finished jigsaw, the sun faded piano and the tent which also doesn’t have anywhere to go. I can’t even remember what we were discussing, but N had just turned round and was showing me something. He looked pretty happy about it. Does anyone else’s child insist on wearing their polo shirts fully buttoned up? It really… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 46”
One of the best things about autumn is the colours. This week saw the first frost of the year here (I’m glad I have a heated windscreen in my car). These leaves were in the car park near work…bizarrely there’s no sycamore trees there, or nearby, so I’ve no idea how far these ones had to blow to get there.
Only a few days late with this Project 365 and week 45. Sometimes there’s just too much going on at weekends to get these things done. Not helped by my brother always turning up for a chat as I’m about to sit down and relax or do specific tasks. It’s lovely to talk to him and see him, but sometimes his timing is rubbish. Here’s this week’s photos. On Sunday after tea, the OH turned on the tv and caught… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 45”
Shoot season has started. N loves spending time being a gamekeeper – he goes out with his dad on the quad bike at the weekends to feed the pheasants. And then when there’s a shoot, he goes after swimming to join the others and do some beating. His shooting jacket was a handmedown from his cousin last year. I reckon he’s got this year and next to wear it unless he has a huge growth spurt. This year they had… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 45 – gamekeeper”
It’s week 44 of Project 365, and the clocks went back meaning it’s even harder to get photos each day. Unless of couse, I go out for a walk at lunchtimes. I have just started a fine art flower photography course as a beta tester, so over the next few months, more flowers will be popping up on here. On Sunday, the weather was lovely. We pottered around at home with N out on the farm most of the day.… Continue Reading “Project 365 2017 week 44”
I always say that N doesn’t like having his photo taken, but sometimes, given the right ask, I’ll get lovely posed portrait shots like this. Even the shots just before, getting into this worked out well. It was taken while we were at Coughton Court just before we were allowed in for our timed slot to the house. Earlier in the day he’d taken over my camera in the gardens and taken a few nice pictures himself. But I was… Continue Reading “Living Arrows 2017 week 44 – portrait”
